TYPICAL VEHICLE FLUID LEAKS

May 19th, 2022 by

Numerous fluids provide critical lubricating and cooling functions inside the vehicle. Team Mazda doesn’t want to see owners pay for costly repairs due to fluid leaks, so it’s important for drivers to know what to keep an eye on. An oil leak could happen for many reasons, including simply not putting the dipstick back properly. A stripped nut in the oil pan could also cause similar problems. No matter the cause, oil on the ground is a bad sign.

Coolant could leak out, causing a car or truck to overheat. Steam pouring out from under the hood is a tell-tale sign coolant levels dropped too low.

If the brakes don’t work, leaking brake fluid might cause a catastrophic situation. A routine brake inspection might prevent such a disaster on a Caldwell, ID road.

Differential, windshield wiper, power steering, and transmission fluids could run low, too. Checking these fluids might prevent problems, including incredibly costly ones.
